Non capisco le altre recensioni negative. Noi ci siamo trovati molto bene, attesa breve di 10 minuti ed era domenica, personale molto cordiale e il buffet vario e per tutti i gusti. Carne e polpo molto buoni e teneri. Si mangia bene e si spende poco, super consigliato!!! Se avete pretese da "Romito", non è il locale per voi, qui è più da "chef Rubio"! ~ Simona B
The São Nicolau restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. My son won a voucher for 2 people at school. Of course, we went as a family; it was a rainy day, and the distance to the 7 Cidades is still considerable. I had no idea what to expect and, to be honest, I was convinced it wouldn't be enjoyable. But to my surprise, it was very good, especially because a Sunday lunch with family is always the cherry on top of any cake. The buffet was very diverse, and the service staff was very friendly. A big thank you to the São Nicolau restaurant! One week after this stay, on Mother's Day, we returned with a larger group, and everything was as good as the first time. I especially recommend the Goat; on both occasions we were at the Buffet, it was very good. ~ Mário F
Nous sommes venus en groupe et il n'y avait pas de place dans la salle de restaurant (oui nous n'avions pas anticipé) malgré tout nous avons été accueilli dans la partie snack-bar par des personnes adorables. Nous avons bien mangé, simple mais efficace et bon... Merci pour votre accueil et merci d'avoir pris le temps de nous parler des spécialités de l'île 😊 je suis a contabilista 😉 ~ Isabelle D
Gran descubrimiento, Bueno y barato. Un barecito de pueblo auténtico donde puedes comer desde el bocadillo hasta la comida tradicional como las lapas típicas de los azores o una simple sopa del día saludable casera. Budget: entre 5-10 euros por persona. Comes y bebes por ese precio. ~ Isabel G
Tombé sur ce restaurant par hasard, cuisine typique, simple, locale, fraîche et très bonne . Rapport qualité - prix imbattable. Personnel serviable, gentil et très efficace. Je recommande fortement si vous avez envie de manger dans un buffet typique portugais. ~ betty m

I had to edit my review of S. Nicolau, since the old one was 7 years old and didn't reflect the current reality. This is, without a doubt, the most convenient place to sit down and eat well in Sete Cidades. There's plenty of options and the food is good. You have to understand that this was originally an establishment to serve the needs of the local populations and that it adapted to fit the needs of the emerging demand that the village is experiencing. All and all, it is a comfortable and reliable place and my choice when traveling around Sete Cidades. ~ Luis C
Comida maravilhosa! Estilo buffet com comida típica dos Açores. Adorei o cabrito, o entrecosto, é tudo o resto! A mousse de maracujá é maravilhosa. 12€ o buffet de adulto sem sobremesa, mas com bebida e café incluído. 6€ para criança. Se voltar vou com certeza comer aqui! ~ Ana R
Ristorante per VIAGGIATORI backpackers che cercano un pasto caldo e soddisfacente a poco prezzo. Qualità discutibile ma se comparato con il target e con il prezzo non ha eguali. Abbiamo mangiato in due per 11 euro con gelato e acqua. Non abbiamo provato l’opzione buffet. Viaggiando a piedi e pernottando vari giorni a Sete cidades questo ristorante ci ha soddisfatto al 100%. Consiglio a tutti coloro che cercano un semplice pasto a poco prezzo senza nessuna pretesa sulla qualità. ~ nicola b
El pueblo es bellísimo hay que visitarlo, el restaurante presenta una opción buffet, tienen variedad de pollo, cerdo, carne y pescado. Recomiendo el Bacalhau Espiritual es un pastel muy rico y suave. Sin duda regresaría no una sino varias veces ~ James M
Fuimos al restaurante de la zona del buffet. Cuesta 15€ por persona e incluye 1 bebida y café. La comida está buena, aunque no es la mejor de las azores, pero para la zona en la que está y el precio que tiene, tampoco se le puede pedir mucho más. ~ Ana S
Remek ár-érték arány! Büfé menü 16€/fő amiben benne van egy kávé is. Annyit eszel amennyit bírsz. 6-8 féle főétel, halak, húsok, vegetáriánus. Többféle köret, saláták. Nem túl zsúfolt. Tökéletes ha egy gyors, tartalmas ebédet szeretnél. ~ Ildikó M

We had the buffet for 8.50 euros per person. We thought we were told by the waitress this would also include coffee and dessert but the bill came with separate priced items for both. Four main food items today. There was a fresh side root veggie salad, no seasoning, but delicious with oil and vinegar. Roasted cod fish with taro, prepared liked hash browns. A savory tomato seafood rice mix, with prawns, crab, mussels, clams and fish pieces. Stewed fava beans with potatoes and boiled eggs. Also, large roasted cuts of seasoned pork. And of course french fries and white rice. We particularly loved the cod dish. Pork was a little dry but still with good flavor. Dessert had several options, we had the chocolate mousse. We wanted a wine list menu which was lost in translation lol. We instead were brought a bottle of typical Portuguese table wine opened at the bar. Worked well with the buffet food. You can also order from a menu, the usual typical Azore island food. Both locals and tourists seen. A great lunch restaurant, quick, easy, straightforward and delicious. ~ msullpa m
Nos ha encantado, pedimos la ración de queso d cabra casero y la verdad que nos sorprendió el sabor. Calidad precio muy buena y aquí os subimos los precios para que veías que por menos de 20€ coméis en pareja 👌🏼 ~ Maria C
I'm sure it's a nice place for people with no dietary restrictions. Some sandwich options, some pastries, as far as I've noticed. My husband prefers vegan/vegetarian things, and has a gluten intolerance, so no matter what we'd look for it would either have meat or gluten in it. The upside is that the person we happened to meet that one night was trying his best to offer us options, and I thought that was very nice of him. We returned for coffees after that. ~ Oana G
Das Sao Nicolau ist ein sehr nettes, ortstypisches Restaurant. Das Angebot ist überschaubar, aber durchaus schmackhaft und selbst bei großem Andrang verliert das Personal weder die Übersicht noch die gute Laune - daher eine klare Empfehlung. ~ Johannes P

Hay un sitio para comer en Sete Cidades que no es ni un food truck ni un bufet, y que te ofrece varias opciones, menú, petiscos, bufet… Y además una cerveza local de primera. Para repetir! ~ Eva A
Com uma sala de refeições muito boa, pessoas super simpáticas e com um prato de comida saborosa e bem servido o que é que se pode querer mais?? Com preço muito em conta mesmo para quem faz turismo "cá dentro". ~ ricardo k
Comida muito boa... Tem um bufet com vários pratos à escolha, todos muito bons... Pessoal muito simpático... Preços mais que acessíveis, tendo em conta o serviço, até parece mesmo barato... Aconselho... ~ Rafael R
Super café avec une ambiance au top ! L'équipe est vraiment sympa et toujours aux petits soins. On s'y sent comme chez soi, et la qualité est au rendez-vous. Une vraie perle, je recommande à 100 % ! ~ Leal Q
After visiting the sights above Sete Cidades we were looking for a bite to eat. Driving down the Main Street we saw a place that looked popular with the locals and stopped in. We were pleasantly surprised to find just the right spot. Outdoor seating on a patio as well as a front porch area. Good fresh food served quickly for a reasonable prices. Ice cream cooler available for a take away dessert treat. ~ Dan B
